Black Women in Film is a philanthropic collective dedicated to supporting Black women—especially millennial creatives—stepping into filmmaking as their second act. We’re not just nurturing talent; we’re creating a movement rooted in access, mentorship, and industry transformation.
Through hands-on mentorship, strategic guidance, and direct access to a full-service production company, BWIF empowers Black women to develop, produce, and distribute bold, culture-shifting stories. Our model prioritizes real-world experience, creative collaboration, and professional connections that help bridge the gap between vision and execution.
At BWIF, we’re building a pipeline of millennial storytellers and shifting the culture of film by centering Black women’s voices, visions, and value.
